About B4H
Our mission is to lead the transformation of indoor air quality management through our medically based, data-driven approach for better health and efficiency.
Our Story
Meet Founder Dr. Stephanie Taylor
After graduating from Harvard Medical School and practicing as a physician, Dr. Stephanie Taylor observed an unsettling trend. Why were patients in Boston hospitals getting new infections despite extensive surface hygiene efforts, while her patients in a simple hospital in Papua New Guinea with less resources were not?
Her hunch was that an important step in the spread of infections was being overlooked - the transmission of infectious microorganisms through airborne aerosols. With that hypothesis in mind, Dr. Stephanie Taylor's professional journey expanded from clinical medicine and cell biology research to architecture and indoor air chemistry as she sought to find solutions.

Soon, recognized as a pioneer in hospital infectious disease research, Dr. Taylor studied the relationships between patient outcomes, microbes and indoor air quality, and expanded her unique medical approach to other building types.
In 2020, Dr Taylor co-founded Building4Health (B4H) to create a building-performance metric using occupant health data to become "the most important next advance in improving public health."
B4H's advanced patented algorithm was inspired by Dr. Taylor's research and more than 30+ years of scientific and medical studies from around the world. In collaboration with a team of data, technology and building management experts, B4H has created a holistic data driven IAQ solution to help protect the health of people indoors while also improving energy conservation and reducing the carbon footprint in an increasingly complex indoor world.
